Gula Apong/Kuih Bongkol
Thought that the packaging was quite cute. This is the gula apong @ some sort of brown sugar. It's something similar to gula melaka @ brown sugar from melaka with a faint liquorice after taste. Anyway, gula apong is apparently made from the stalk of a nipah plant.
